Many patients come to Gentle Dentistry to have their amalgam fillings removed.
We use Rubber Dam Isolation routinely when restoring teeth. However this becomes particularly important when removing old amalgam fillings. It is a rubber safety net that isolates your mouth from the tooth being worked upon and prevents the ingestion (together with high bore suction) of any amalgam particles.
